I want a Raspberry Pi

When I was growing up, hobby computers were the thing to have if you were a real geek.  Buy one in kit form, solder it together and hook it up to your TV.

Now it looks like some modern geeks are bringing this idea back... to mixed reviews.
It all sounds rather like a nostalgic cry for a lost 8-bit computing era to us - something we're guilty of indulging in ourselves, to be fair - through a device you connect to your telly and code on. This notion will be immediately and intimately clear to anyone who grew up in the early 1980s.
Fair enough, but the educational value in such do-it-yourself home projects is huge, not to mention that it's a great way to make technology fun.  I want one.

(Oh, and they mention the Khan Academy as well.  Bonus point.)
