Your breakfast can be unique!

You wouldn't want to be eating the exact same thing as anyone else, would you?  Well, look at this!  You too can be special and have a breakfast that's uniquely yours.  How's that for individuality?

I sometimes cook oatmeal as part of my breakfast, and this is a photo of the box it comes in.  I think this is a perfect illustration of the implicit assumption that individuality is something everyone strives for.

  2. I think in western countries it's generally about being an individual whereas in korea it's all about following the crowd.. (collectivism) Everybody and I mean literally EVERYBODY in korea wants to be slim and have western features to be admired or at least fit to the society's demand. Somewhat sad.. but true!

  3. I totally agree with yaloo. Recently almost every Koreans want to be skinny and they admire it simply because that's what they see everyday in TV, magazines, movies, and ads. I really think we should strive for our own individuality!
