It's not just money, my life

You've must heard about the bankurupt of savings bank. When I heard about the news, I wondered why depositors put their money in such a risky bank. The higher interest a bank gives you, the higher risk you need to accept, which is a basic principle. However, many depositors were underclass. They deposit all their money into the troubled savings bank. They just believed that my bank is never gonna fail. They believed what bankers say. Some people invested even in subordinated bonds which are not protected by Deposit Insurance. A woman who saved her money by working as a temporary worker and lost 24,000,000 won which is less than other people's damage said "it's not just money, my life". We can not just blame their ignorance. One reason they invested in risky bank is they are not informed about finance sufficiently. The problem about failed savings banks will be solved in anyway, but I think the more important thing is to educate underclass people on finance.

  1. Some people are troubled in money. They sometimes lost money because of such bankruptcy of banks. They are not informed in bank, finance. The government have to educate them on finance and support banks financialy not to fail.
